These are our ambassadors

Our ambassadors are committed graduates who share their experience, knowledge and networks with students. The project strengthens the connection between university and business world, makes it easier for international students to start a career in the regional economy and helps to retain skilled workers in the region. Together we are creating a strong network that shapes the future!

Who is involved?

As a former student at OVGU and through my work in HR consulting, I know how important it is to be well prepared for the job market. International students in particular face challenges that I am happy to help with - be it through networking, advice or sharing experiences. I look forward to taking part in events and actively contributing to the design of the program.

Being an ambassador is a great opportunity for Danny Caleb Prashanth to bridge cultures and inspire students. Through his experience of the fundamental differences in education, lifestyle and language between Western and Eastern cultures, he has been able to find the first ways to overcome these barriers. He wants to pass on his knowledge to reduce the discrepancy in the skills shortage and benefit both students and the state.

As an Alumni Ambassador, I would like to support future graduates in successfully mastering the transition to professional life. From my own experience, I know how challenging application processes can be and how important it is to plan your own development at an early stage. The promotion of women in scientific and technical professions is particularly close to my heart. I would therefore like to get involved in a mentoring program to provide targeted support for students.

Being an ambassador is a wonderful opportunity for me to inspire students, especially international students. Thanks to my strong interpersonal skills, I can encourage, motivate and guide them on their career path.

As an Alumni Ambassador, I would like to support young people during their studies and shortly before graduation, clear up any uncertainties they may have and give them tips and information about career opportunities in our region for starting a career after graduation.

The region, the Otto-von-Guericke-University and the local companies must become more visible for current graduates and also for people who are thinking of returning. Together, we can show what we are made of and what great things we can achieve.

My main concern is to support young people in their professional integration in Germany - and in Magdeburg in particular. As an Alumni Ambassador, I want to help ensure that highly qualified graduates stay in Magdeburg and build their professional future here. With my experience and knowledge, I am committed to facilitating access to the job market and further strengthening the connection between the university and the city.

As an Alumni Ambassador, I would like to pass on my experience to students and support them with career topics, career entry and application processes. I ran a tutor course for organic chemistry during my studies and still regularly give talks for excursion groups at my company - I would be happy to contribute this expertise to the OVGU Alumni Ambassador program.

During my studies, I benefited greatly from my network at OVGU—whether through exchanges with fellow students, professors or researchers. These connections opened many doors for me and provided valuable inspiration. As an Alumni Ambassador, I now want to support students, especially those from non-academic backgrounds, and show them the wide range of career opportunities available to them.

I have lived in Magdeburg since 2004 and have personally experienced every stage of integration - both from a professional and social perspective. I understand how crucial transparency, understanding, and communication are for a successful transition. As an Alumni Ambassador, I want to support international students in integrating into both the job market and society in the region. Depending on their cultural background—whether from India, Ukraine, or Arabic-speaking countries—I tailor my approach to their specific needs. I am happy to offer my support in German, English, and Russian.

As a graduate of OVGU, I can look back on very groundbreaking years for my professional development in the regional economy. For me, networking and openness to new industries and specialist areas are the success factors for professional success that makes you happy.
I like to support and motivate students to be courageous and think outside the box.
